Jersey Care & Maintenance Guide
To ensure your football kits stay in match-day condition for years to come, we recommend following these care instructions. Most of our jerseys feature high-quality heat-transfer printed details (names, numbers, and sleeve patches) which require a little extra love to maintain their premium finish.
1. Washing Instructions
- Hand Wash Preferred: To protect the delicate printing and embroidery, we strongly recommend washing your jersey by hand in cold water.
- Machine Wash Safely: If you must use a machine, always turn the jersey inside out before placing it in the drum. Use a "Delicate" or "Hand Wash" cycle with cold water and a mild detergent.
- Avoid Bleach: Never use bleach or harsh chemicals. These will damage the fabric fibers and fade the vibrant colors of your kit.
2. Drying & Storage
- Air Dry Only: Do not tumble dry. High heat in dryers is the #1 cause of cracked printing and peeling numbers.
- Avoid Direct Sunlight: When drying outdoors, keep the jersey in a shaded area. Prolonged exposure to the harsh Australian sun can weaken the technical fabric and cause colors to fade.
- Store Properly: When not in use, we recommend hanging your jersey on a hanger rather than folding it. This helps prevent permanent creases in the heat-pressed numbers.
3. DIY Printing Repair
If a letter or number begins to peel slightly at the edges due to heavy wear, you can easily fix it at home:
- Place the jersey on a flat, hard surface (like an ironing board).
- Cover the affected area with clean, non-stick parchment paper or a thin cotton cloth.
- Set your iron to approximately 150°C.
- Press firmly on the spot for 7–8 seconds.
- Allow it to cool completely before removing the paper. If the print hasn't fully re-adhered, repeat the process.
